Storyline: 

High school English teacher Howard Brackett is stunned when his former student Cameron mentions that Howard is gay in a widely televised Oscar acceptance speech. Howard desperately tries to convince his startled family and distressed fiancee Emily that he is, in fact, completely straight. Despite his protests, a media firestorm results with every reporter wanting to get an interview with Cameron's inspirational and supposedly gay teacher. As his upcoming wedding looms, Howard finds himself required to demonstrate his manliness, even while obnoxious newshound Peter Malloy attempts to prove that the beleaguered Howard is really gay.
